Microsoft Front Page installs a web server on your system.  If you didn't answer the questions in the Front Page installer correctly, you may have both the web server and the Wingate WWW Proxy server trying to use Port 80.

 
Wingate doesn't seem to mind, but Front Page Explorer gets a little fussy

The problem is easy to fix.  You need to move either the Front Page server or the Wingate WWW Proxy server to port 8080.

To move the Front Page server, quit the Front Page server if it's running (you will see it in the Windows Task Bar if it is running), start the Front Page Server Administrator program (available in the Front Page Start menu folder), click on the Help button and follow the instructions for To change a server's port number. Make sure you change the port number to 8080

To move the Wingate Proxy server, use Gatekeeper and bring up the WWW Proxy server window and enter 8080 in the port number field.  Also make sure you enter the same new port number in your browser proxy settings!
